Eugene Orlando, CEO/acquisitions editor of Scriptor Publishing Company, Inc., has launched over thirty-six titles on Amazon’s Kindle and Barnes and Noble’s Nook. He has seventeen eNovels published himself. Eugene has won eleven awards in the FWA’s Royal Palm Literary Awards, and six honorable mentions in Writer’s Digest Writing Competitions.

His company, Scriptor Publishing, Inc. e-publishes mostly fiction for adults and children, but is interested in good non-fiction including memoirs. In fiction, he accepts any genre. The only requirements are that the manuscript be of high quality and salable to the public. “From M.S. Word Manuscript to Kindle and Nook” – Saturday, October 20, 9:00-10:00 AM
Supposedly, anyone can take a Microsoft Word document and convert it into a Kindle and Nook file. There are many ins-and-outs, twists-and-turns, dead-end streets, and pitfalls a-plenty. Learn how to convert your file successfully, and get it up on Amazon and Barnes and Noble for sale as an eBook making you a published author. Besides just converting your file, this presentation includes: inserting jpeg pictures, creating a book cover, writing the back cover blurb, finding the right title, and selecting keywords and categories.

Attendees who wish will be invited to sign up to read their work for their peers. Signup is on a first come/first serve basis upon arrival in the conference room. At that time, the Moderator will a lot a time limit to each reader. There is no critique during this session.
