The Youngest Author

October 20, 2012

Conor Wilson is the youngest author working for Chicago-based Magic Dreams Publishing and he’s also at the Florida Writers Conference this year, including his own book signing. His book, A Giant Pencil, was publishing five days before he turned twelve. It’s a story that would resonate with elementary school kids–a boy is bullied and finds a giant, magic pencil that allows him to erase people who bully and irritate him. Eventually, though, the lure of the pencil is too great a temptation, and he erases all the people who cares about and wants to draw them back into existence.

Conor and his father Jeffrey Wilson are new FWA members and will be featured in an upcoming issue of The Florida Writer, a magazine available to FWA members.
