Look good. Write good…errr, well (Sale on FWAware for the miniconference!)

March 17, 2013

You could look this good! (Well, except for me. *I* could never look this good.)

There’s always that awkward chit chat at the FWA conferences when you meet new people. “Are you a member of the FWA?” It’s small talk and it can get boring. You can get right to the point with writers across Florida who attend the mini conference by shopping for some stunning FWA gear that you can wear to the conference.

Think about how much more you can talk about once you get the idle chit chat out of the way. Why, you could actually talk about books and writing and publishing – imagine that.

If you go to the miniconference, you can get big discounts on FWA shirts, hats, and sweatshirts to wear at group meetings, literary events, and the fall conference! You can look as good as our spokesmodel! Maybe you’ll even look better. And some of us can use all help we can get.

After all, if you’re a member, you already know all of the perks to becoming a member. Now people will know exactly who to go to when they want to find out if it’s worth the (measly) amount to become a member of the coolest writing association in Florida.

About the April miniconference

The mini-conference will take place on Saturday, April 20th at the Altamonte Chapel in Altamonte Springs. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m., opening remarks at 8:00. You can’t beat the cost. If you’re an FWA member, registration is only $59. You can also register as a nonmember for $79.

What do you get?

Award-winning novelist Adrian Fogelin is the keynote speaker for the miniconference. Adrian is the author of seven novels for middle-grade and young adult readers, including the hugely popular “Crossing Jordan,” and has won numerous awards including two Florida Book Award gold medals. Vic DiGenti will present a all-day workshop on crime fiction. For agents, choose from among Veronica Helen Hart, representing Double Edge Press; Saritza Hernandez, agent for Corvisiero Literary Agency; and Virginia Nelson, acquisitions editor for Champagne Books.
