It’s time to register for the 2013 Florida Writers Conference, the best conference EVER!
All you need to know about the upcoming annual conference, which takes place October 18-20, 2013, in Lake Mary, Florida, is now posted on the FWA website.
In the center ring, put your hands together for the workshops, presentations, and interviews featuring literary agents Marisa Corvisiero and Saritza Hernandez, Corvisiero Literary Agency; Dawn Michelle Frederick, Red Sofa Literary; Gordon Warnock, Foreword Literary Agency; and Louise Fury, L. Perkins Agency. Meet traditional publishers—Mark Wayne Adams, MWA; Eugene Orlando, Scriptor Publishing; J. Ellen Smith, Champagne Book Group; and Chad Rhoad, The History Press—along with subsidy publisher Rik Feeney, PublishingSuccessOnline.com.
Chantelle Aimee Osman, A Twist of Karma Entertainment, will hear practice pitches, Bobbie Christmas will be book doctoring, and three faculty members are also available for critiques. Rub elbows with such bestselling authors as Pulitzer Prize-winning keynoter Edna Buchanan and 2014 Collections Person of Renown Mary Burton, among others.
In ring two, thrill to the many and varied other acts: the conference bookstore, publicizing you as it sells your books; the RPLA award banquet, celebrating our year in writing; the 2013 Collection with Edna Buchanan as Person of Renown, showcasing celebrities and FWA writers; the FWF Silent Auction, letting you shop for the holidays as you donate to programs for literacy; open mic readings; and plenty of other exciting events.
In ring three, become the ringmaster of networking at meals, during breaks, and in the evenings. Forge solid relationships that are not only useful but also make the conference experience as much fun as, well, a circus.
Also included on the website are details for the spring mini-conference on April 20 in Altamonte Springs, Florida, Florida – hurry to register for this quickly approaching event!
And last but not least, don’t forget to register for the FWF Celebrity Workshop on October 17, located at the same hotel as FWA’s annual conference, presented by the queen of romantic suspense, Mary Burton.
