The ‘Greatest Writers Conference on Earth’ Shines a Spotlight on Marisa Corvisiero

May 26, 2013

Who is Marisa Corvisiero? If you write creative stories with well-developed plots and rich characters with unique voices; if you write romance, thrillers, adventure, paranormal, fantasy, science fiction, or any combination; if you write the same genres for young adults and middle-grade readers; or if out-of-the-box and high concept spiritual, self-improvement, parenting, science, business, and cookbooks are your specialty—you probably know who Marisa Corvisiero is. And you probably want to talk to her. Badly.

Marisa is a literary agent, author, and attorney who practices entertainment as well as corporate law—and she’ll be one of six agents interviewing authors at FWA’s 12th annual conference, “The Greatest Writers Conference on Earth.” The conference will be held October 18-20, 2013, at the Orlando Marriott Lake Mary. That’s three days to take in workshops, network, and interview with agents, publishers, and industry professionals, and much more.

Don’t write in the genres Marisa is interested in? Among the five other agents, five traditional publishers, two subsidy publishers, 24 authors and industry experts, and three critique faculty members who’ll be in attendance at the conference, you should be able to find the expertise you’re looking for.

Incidentally, Marisa will be teaching a workshop, “How to Find and Keep the Right Literary Agent,” and she’ll be a panelist for the Agents and Publishers Panel. Check the FWA website for details and to register for the conference: floridawriters.net. Schedules are filling up, so if you plan to book an appointment with Marisa or any of the other faculty, please don’t delay.

Happy writing and happy interviewing.
