Exercise Wednesday: You and Your Shadow

December 4, 2013

By Peggy Miller

Write a poem about your shadow.  How does it change when you move?  How does it change you?  What does it look like in different kinds of light, in different situations?  What happens when it merges with other shadows?  What would happen if you lost it?  Does your shadow have a secret life?  What does your shadow know about you that no one else does?  What happens at night when your shadow disappears? The creative possibilities are legion.
